Learning to Grow (LTG) is a multi-faceted project that is grounded in the state’s vision that all of Hawai‘i’s children will be safe, healthy, and ready to succeed in school. LTG provides the following statewide services:
- Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) Care Outreach Program- an educational outreach to families with children ages birth to 5, and their family, friend, or neighbor (license exempt) care provider; to support their efforts to provide high quality home-based care that enhances children’s early learning, healthy development, and school-readiness.
- Family Child Care (FCC) Outreach Program, also known as our Quality Child Care (QCC) program- an educational outreach service to registered FCC providers; to increase their professionalism and support their efforts to provide care that enhances children’s early learning, healthy development, and school-readiness.
- Parent Consumer Education Program- provides parents with information about child care options; to support families as they go through the process of choosing child care for their young children.
- Early childhood resource information and publications available for families, care providers, and service professionals; publications include LTG’s Developmental
Guidelines and Early Learning Activities for Infants, Toddlers, and Young Preschoolers and Raising a School-Ready Child booklet.
