What To Do:
1. While bathing your child, sing, and act out songs.
2. Make up your own songs or use songs like the two below:
Here comes the rain.
Splash, splash, splash. (Splash the water.)
Here comes the rain.
Drip, drip, drip. (Sprinkle drops with your fingers.)
Here comes the rain.
Pitter, patter. (Flick your fingers in the water).
Get my little one clean all over. (Wash your child with a washcloth.)
Hickory, dickory, dock.
The mouse ran up the clock. (Mover the washcloth slowly up your child’s arm.)
The clock struck one.
The mouse ran down .(Slide the washcloth quickly down your child’s arm)
Hickory, dickory, dock.
Safety Alert: Toddlers love water. It’s fun to explore! But never take your eyes off your child while she’s in the bathtub or playing with a container of water. Your child’s top-heavy head may cause her to fall forward into the water and not be able to get up. Children can drown in just a few inches of water.
