Make a learning activity using your mail.
What You Need:
• Mail
What To Do:
1. Show your toddler the names on the mail you receive.
2. Ask him to help sort the mail into piles. For example, “Let’s make one pile for Mommy, one pile for Daddy, and one pile for Tutu (Grandma).”
3. Together, count out how many pieces of mail there are in each pile: “Daddy got one, Mommy got two letters. Tutu got zero, nothing.” If you speak more than one language, count the letters in a different language.
4. Talk about who got more mail and who got less.
5. Talk about the different sizes of the envelopes.
